Hi-Def Video Recorder

Hi-Def Video RecorderAnybody have one of these? The Hauppauge 1212 HD-PVR High Definition Personal Video Recorder If so, how do you like it? I'm thinking of getting one of these in lieu of a Pyro or capture card. It claims that it can record Hi-Def, yet no HDMI input (there's nothing out there that I can find with a HDMI input) So it's probably not "true" Hi-Def. And if it's because of copyright issues, then I guess it's OK in this day and age to record non-hi-def all day long without the copyright infringement legalities [the manufacturers I mean]? But, Hi-Def Seems odd. Regards,

Re: Hi-Def Video RecorderWell, I guess this has promise, but requires USB 3.0 - http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/

Re: Hi-Def Video RecorderThe Hauppauge has component video inputs. Maybe they don't want to pay the HDMI license fees.
