Re: Analog PhotographySome random photos from my Yashica Electro 35 CCN camera, shot with Ilford HP5+ film. I like this camera a lot; has a good lens, is aperture priority, and feels very solid in your hand. Also small enough to put in a jacket pocket, so a good 'walking around' camera.
Re: Analog PhotographyEd very nice I liked that a lot. Favorites were the shopping carts and the dog with the shadow. Well done.
The Uke music was a good touch. was that you playing the Uke? Either way I liked it Sidd "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." ..... Ferris Bueller
Re: Analog PhotographyHere's a slide show of photos I took with the Canon Rebel G I picked up about a month ago. These photos are from a roll of Kodak P3200 TMax film. It's an inexpensive SLR camera from the late 90's with a good metering system and pretty fast autofocus. I have three lenses that fit it, so I think I'll just keep it loaded with specialty B&W film.
Here's and ad for it from back in the day. Not sure if this would have made me run out to buy it then.
Re: Analog PhotographyEd I liked your video especially those of that old dilapidated house. When mixed with the trees and water pictures it seemed like it was a haunted old house way out in the woods. You are getting some great shots. You are fast becoming the B&W king.
I am still looking around for a cheap little camera that shoots video. I looked online and the batman cameras now have 1080p so still looking. Sidd "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." ..... Ferris Bueller
Re: Analog PhotographyThanks Sidd. My favorite is the last photo because it’s of my newest Grandson.
Re: Analog PhotographyThis is a typical film roll for me. Some family shots and walking around shots. Taken with my favorite film stock Iford HP5+ and a Canon Rebel G camera.
Re: Analog PhotographyTotally enjoyable, Ed. You have an artist's eye.

Re: Analog PhotographyEd that was really good. The picture of the person playing sax looked like zuckerberg...
After you develop the film how do you digitize it? Sidd "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." ..... Ferris Bueller
Re: Analog PhotographyIt does doesn't it. It's been there since before Facebook became a big thing. I use an epson v600 flatbed scanner. I over do it at 3200 DPI, then scale down for posting online or sending to people.
Re: Analog PhotographyWhat was once old is new again!
Re: Analog PhotographyI couldn't agree more with the points he makes. Sometimes there's just something about the art that was involved in doing so many things "by hand" that are now done in modern ways. Although it does seem a bit incongruous to then turn around and scan the negatives "for easier viewing and sharing." Make up your mind.

Re: Analog PhotographyI think it is pretty neat that there is a trend with Records, cameras and hopefully video cameras as well. There seemed to be a rush to put so much technology in the dustbin and move on.
I thought that part was funny too. I'll take my analog on a piece of digital please. Sidd "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." ..... Ferris Bueller
Re: Analog PhotographyWell, I’ll say it’s a big commitment to make a dark room. I discussed it with Mrs. Ed and I understand her concerns. I try to not modify negatives when I scan them to try and keep it like it would be before software.
