Like all of us these days we are jumping into new things to keep our businesses alive. I am trying to create a memories video and use narration within the program. All equipment settings seem to be correct (using a Blue nano) but when I began to record it would record for a while then stop - randomly. Once at 30 sec, 1 minute, 23 sec. Honest I didn't touch anything
It seems so straight forward but I'm confused. Should I record in another program (?) then drop it into my video rather than trying to record directly into PRE?
Thanks - as always, grateful you are there and trusting all our healthy! Mary Anne Harris
Depending on the constraints of your machine it might not be fast enough to process the audio in real time. I have found success with just recording the audio separate then add the audio to my video file.
I have used this method in a few videos with the good fortune of living on the west coast and have Steve Grisetti who is from Wisconsin provide the audio remotely. Here is a sample.

There is a very nice utility called Audacity that most of us use for recording and converting audio to various formats. It does a great job, it is free and has a ton of tools, it is also pretty easy to learn.
Thanks Mary Anne, let us know if you have any questions. Most of us have been using Audacity for many years now. I have a couple tutorials lying around somewhere too.
My audacity tutorials are really old and the format is no longer supported. Here is a very good tutorial on how to get started, it's only 5 minutes and shows the basics.
