Understanding Files in Premiere Elements 15Is there a place in The Muvipix.com Guide to Adobe Premiere Elements 15 that explains the different files. I don't know what Encoded Files or Layouts are.
Re: Understanding Files in Premiere Elements 15Why not ask? That's why we're here.
Whenever you save your project file to a directory folder, a number of sub-folders are created -- depending on the version of the program and what features you've used. Here are the basics: 1) Auto-Saves -- Auto-saved versions of your project. 2) Preview Files -- Temporary renders of your project's timeline. 3) Encoded Files -- I have no idea what they are. These folders are apparently all empty. 4) Layouts -- I believe these are the saved layouts of your interface. Can anybody else fill in the details? from here: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elemen ... disks.html This is about Premiere Pro, but might be an interesting read about the Encoded Files folder: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/845039
