Re: s HDR the future of video?Out of the question. Good luck. I'm going back the other way, to standard definition.

About 6-7 hours comfortably at DVD quality compression. Much more than that and you're compressing too much. Dell Studio XPS 8100, Intel Core i7 2.8GHz, 4GB RAM, 64-Bit Win7. Camera gear: 2x Canon 550D's, 1x Canon EOS 6D body, Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 & 17-50mm f2.8, Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 & 24-70mm f/2.8L, and two 420EX flashes.

Re: Is HDR the future of video? It is too easy to overcook the HDR look. I can see using it to enhance slightly. Tutorials tell you to shoot in neutral and color correct in post is the way to edit. Or shoot in ProTune or shoot in Slog2 or 3 and use a LUT. I can't keep up.

Re: Is HDR the future of video?HDR was actually never intended to look like graffiti. It was simply meant to reclaim image detail that usually gets lost in the shadows or intense highlights. Good HDR should simply look like we see, not how a dream looks.

I agree. Sometimes it is just nice to see what the actual color is. Sidd "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." ..... Ferris Bueller
