A place to introduce and tell a little about yourself.

I've been lurking here for a while and thought I'd join up.
I started out with Premiere 5.1 in 1999 and just downgraded to elements 8 last year. I had my system set up by my IT guy ( I'm not good with computers) and everything seams to work great!
Bought Steves book (Adobe should include it with the software) and it's great!
I have mostly done wildlife and nature video and had no need for "special effects" but lately I have become interested in all the fancy dodads and am trying lots of new things.
I am mostly a lurker but sometimes I say something.

Welcome Woodruff to Muvipix! Thanks for posting the intro. There are a few members here that do wildlife & nature videos. Can't go wrong with Steve's books.

Hi Woodruff, Welcome I'm not sure that going from Premiere 5.1 to Elements 8 can be considered downgrading. Pretty sure that you can do more with Elements 8 than you ever could with Premiere 5.1
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory. 2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

I agree with Chuck. Premiere 5.1 was from back in the analog days!
In any event, glad you found the transition smoothed a bit by our book.
Welcome aboard, my friend!

Thanks for all the welcomes folks! I was only kidding about downgrading to elements 8.
I'll post some of my videos when I get a chance.
