Using Steve G's wonderful book as a guide, I created a Blu-ray with a main menu page and one sub-menu page. The main menu page has a title and a button that opens the sub-menu page. The sub-menu page contains two buttons which link to separate mpeg files. Each mpeg is only about 2.5 gb in size. It also contains a return to the menu button. As a side note, the mpeg files were rendered in Sony VMS using the Mainconcept Mpeg-2 type and 1920x1080 60i 25 mbps template, and Sony WAV template for sound.
Using my Samsung BDP-6900 player, the blu-ray authored with DVDA takes a long time for the main menu to appear - about a minute. Once the main menu appears, navigation is pretty quick, however.
This blu ray player has never taken this long to load anything. For example, if I took one the mpeg files and burned directly with no menus using Vegas Movie Studio, the load time is about 5 seconds.
Any thoughts?
