Hi, folks! It's that time again!
Time for our third annual Muvipix.com Video Contest -- a chance for you to strut you stuff, find some inspiration and maybe even win one of our great little prizes!
This year we'll be passing out six prizes:
A Grand Prize, decided by your friendly Muvipix staff. This year our Grand Prize is a $150 gift certificate to Amazon.com A People's Choice Prizes, decided by your popular vote. This prize is also a $150 Amazon gift certificate. A Second Prize is awarded by the Muvipix judges, with a $50 Amazon gift certificate as its award. A Second Prize in the People's Choice category, with a $50 Amazon gift certificate as its award also. And one runner up in each of the two categories who will be given a free, autographed copy of any of my books.
You can only win one prize in any category, so there's plenty of opportunity spread the wealth around!
As before, the contest costs nothing to join. To register for the contest, all you need to do is tag onto this thread before February 19th.
We'll be accepting entries from February 19th through March 31st. We'll post the videos and they'll be open for People's Choice voting from April 5th through April 30th. Then we'll announce the winners on May 3rd!
Although our suggested theme this year is "How To," your entry is not restricted to a How-To or demo video. You can do any type of video you want!
The only rule is that it be under 3 minutes.
Hope you'll join in the fun!
You will now see an additional album to upload your entries to - "2010 Muvipix Video Contest". Upload your video and thumbnail as usual to this album starting February 19, 2010. Please use JPEG format 100x100 px for the thumbnail. Also provide a short description and title for your entry.
Please understand that once your video successfully uploads, you will not see it again until public voting commences (April 5, 2010). You will receive a confirmation message that your video was uploaded and needs to be approved. If you're still not sure that it uploaded, post here and we'll double check it for you. Good luck everyone!

I will make a tentitive booking, as not sure time will permit at this stage. Having the comp up and running around christmas time next time would make things a bit more doable time wise (hint hint )
