Re: Open letter to adobe customersAm I the only one that expects letters to be dated?
Re: Open letter to adobe customers
No, you're not the only one. partly the reason I included the link to the dated blog entry.. _| /-\ /\/\ /-\ |_
Re: Open letter to adobe customersI'm not even sure that is really from Adobe, pretty sloppy PDF for a letter from a VP if you ask me.

Re: Open letter to adobe customersI just tried to access it again, after Chuck's post, and now it comes up with a blank webpage.

Re: Open letter to adobe customersRight click on the link and select 'Save As', then save the PDF to your desktop or something. That's what I had to do to see it.
The Adobe logo is not very good for one thing, the letter looks like a fake to me. They didn't even spell Adobe right in one place. 1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

Re: Open letter to adobe customersFake? Maybe. Except that it was on the official Adobe server and linked to by an official Adobe blog by an actual Adobe Principal Product Manager. The instance of Adobe that was spelled wrong was in the userid part of an email address, the domain part was spelled correctly -- there could be a valid reason why the name is shortened in the email address.
Re: Open letter to adobe customersWell for a company that size you would think the logo would be high quality and the letter would be professionally written and dated. Especially something that was to be read by all of their customers, if that was one of my people I would have had a fit.

Re: Open letter to adobe customersCould be another example of the corporate thinking that got them into the situation in the first place.

Re: Open letter to adobe customersI just tried it again and it still works for me. In regards to the apparent misspelling of the e-mail address, here's what was written in the comments section that followed in the blog:
Ad – 5:39 PM on August 30, 2009 Reply to this comment Did the vp misspell his own company's name in the PDF, or is the email address really "adbehelp"? [The Adobe stock ticker symbol is "ADBE," so sometimes those letters are used as (very minor) shorthand, in the same way "MSFT" refers to Microsoft. --J.] I can't vouch for this either way. It does seem strange. And I agree, it's a rather unprofessionally written letter. Be yourself; everyone else is taken.
