Tip about TipsThere are so many tips and how tos on here that I can not remember them all. For my easy reference, I copy and then paste onto a Word doc. My PE3 Notes folder has about a dozen how tos. Thanks for all of the tips posted here.

Okay, but if you publish them some day you have to give us credit!

Steve, you and Chuck have nothing to worry about, couldn't top the Snap book. Speaking of snap, he is covered in post it page markers. I hope it was okay that I wrote notes in the margins
Another thing I did: I realized I wasted way too much time trying to hunt down an effect in the effects categories and trying to remember which ones I had used and what they did and referencing the snap book. So one day I wrote down a list of all of the effects and transitions by category. Now as i use them, I write notes to myself. (They say the memory is the first to go ). aka Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,
If you look at the back cover it gives you instructions for registering the book at Sams. When you register you have access to additional content on the web, that includes a complete list of all transitions and effects and what they do 1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.
2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
There are two chapters that never made the book, one that lists all of the transitions and effects, the other covers all of the Preference settings. Then there is a zip file that has some video samples of the things we teach in the book

With the book now nearly two years old, I wonder how everyone would feel about our simply posting that information in our Products area here.
Chuck? Ron? I know the book itself is copyrighted, so we couldn't post it in layout form. But we could at least post a Word doc or PDF of the information as reference guide and a service to our fellow Muvipixians. Any thoughts? I have downloaded the files, they are already PDF in the book format.
Not sure how Sams would feel about us providing access to them as they still provide them as additional content for the book registration. Once they no longer provide access to the content then I think it would be ok for us to use it. After all the book is still selling and is probably the best sell book on Premiere Elements overall. 1. Aaahhhh...I have read the book several times, but never the back cover! Printed out the bonus chapter and will add it to my notebook. Also registered the All in One and see there are bonus chapters for photoshop. Guess it pays to read everything.

I don't have the book yet, but keep hearing great things about it. Does it cover PE3?
I have already been helped here on muvipix and really like the tutorial and other services. The book is probably my next purchase. Hey, you know, father's day is just around the corner...
Does it cover version 3?
Sort of yes, and sort of no. Technically, the book was written for version 2. There are virtually no books (okay, just one, besides Adobe's Classroom in a Book) for version 3. Publishers are really scaling back on consumer software manuals. That's why we started this web site! On the other hand, virtually everything in the book can also be applied to version 3. There are some new features in version 3, of course: http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bc1b93a But the overall function of the program is almost exactly the same, and there's little you won't be able to do in version 3 using the book. We'll cover new features for version 3 (and ultimately subsequent versions) with tips and tutorials in our Products area on this site. And, of course, if there's anything specific you want to know about, just ask! HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Are you looking for the book, Ric?
Unfortunately, we don't own the copyright to it so we can't distribute it or even re-sell the PDF of it here. Besides, don't you love the feel of a nice softcover paperback? HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
And if you are looking for the additional chapters, Sams has them on their web site, you just need to register your copy of the In A Snap book (check the back cover for instructions).
