Actually, I was still awake at 3:00 am. I was working on a video last night until about midnight. I spent three hours trying to go to sleep and all I could think about was changes I could make to the video. Not good.
uploading video?I've probably looked right past it somewhere here, but is there a quick guide for uploading videos to the Gallery? Preferred format (mpg, etc?).
thanks, steve
Glad you found the instructions, if you need any other help just let us know
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.
2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
One of the categories is 'Open' Beth, you can enter anything

Time Limit 4:00Okay, so I felt the need to enter for real...but with the lack of time (due to other jobs and other obligations..a 2 year old and a 3+ year old) I couldn't create something new. SO I actually took a part of a client's 40th birthday video and replaced the pictures with ones of ME...eek even though I've still got 3 years to go.
Anyway, I've cut it down from 14 minutes but can't get quite to 4:00...it runs about 4:30 now. How firm is the 4:00 time limit? I would have a tough time trimming it more due to the length of the songs and the placement of some of the effects. When it's posted you'll get to see baby pictures of moi, double eek. Happy Editing,
Beth
I can certainly live with a 4:30 video, Beth. (Obviously, our goal is to keep from having to work through dozens of 2 hour entries!)
Ron? Chuck? You guys got any objection? HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
I don't mind either. At worst you would just get marked down for being over the time limit.

Thanks guys. I really wanted to enter this one since I was really happy with it. Of course once I changed the pictures to my own it wasn't quite the same (the editing style and effects really were personalized to the client's pics) and I trimmed a lot of the "story" out but I think it's contest entry worthy even if it's not a winner.
I uploaded it but I'm not sure if I got the thumbnail right. Couldn't tell since it is not viewable yet. let me know if I need to redo the thumbnail. Happy Editing,
Beth
Your thumbnail is not a thumbnail by definition (it's 720X480 - 120 Kbytes). Technically, it should be around 100x70 or so (I can fix it). Coincidently, your video is the same size. This is really not a problem, just wondered if you knew that or not. My Firefox browser doesn't like larger videos when the playing size is @ 320x240 (it gives me the top left 320x240 corner for some odd reason), so I resized it to its proper resolution as posted.
