muvipix 2008 Video Contest!Re: muvipix 2008 Video Contest!Just a question.....is it possible to win more than 1 prize? Or out of all your entries you can win the highest "position" possible, and then that's it. Or if someone uploaded completely awesome videos and won every category they'd win everything? I can't seem to put it in the right words, haha, basically.....can you win more than 1 prize? Or is there a limit? Thanks!
Re: muvipix 2008 Video Contest! Each person can only win one prize, this has been the rule since 2005.
If you place 1st in slideshow and 3rd in Mini Movie then you get the 1st place prize. You will always get the top prize for the category that you win. This year we are allowing the winners to choose their prize, we have a prize pool and the prizes will be drawn by the winners from top to bottom. If you win the overall grand prize award then you pick first and so on, but you only get to pick once. One prize per person, that gives more people a chance to win 1. Re: muvipix 2008 Video Contest!Good to hear Cinde
I think that I counted too many videos, some of those were probably thumbnails. I will wait for Ron to get them all organized and he can let us know the total, but it will probably be less than 34 1. Re: muvipix 2008 Video Contest!
Sorry Cinde, I don't have it for some reason. Are you sure you put it in the 2008 Video Contest Album? Or maybe mistakenly one of your albums? If you can't locate it, go ahead and upload it to one of your albums and I'll take care of the rest. Let me know when you have it in there. Including Cinde's entry, there's a total of 28 videos. Re: muvipix 2008 Video Contest!I started to look through the videos and I am really impressed at how good they all are. I do not know if this was discussed before, but I thought it was nice to not see any submission names with the videos.

Re: muvipix 2008 Video Contest!Heh Sidd, cant believe you didn't put an entry in...
Re: muvipix 2008 Video Contest! Is there a ballot or is it simply going by the 'star' ranking at the bottom of each video?
Re: muvipix 2008 Video Contest!Just use the Star Rating for each video, please rate them all
The system calculates an average score for each one, the highest average score wins the People's Choice award. Steve, Ron and I will score each video for the other awards and add our scores with the People's Choice score for the Grand Prize winner. All other prizes are based on the score given by Ron, Steve and I. 1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.
