Re: Mountain Clouds TimelapseDave that is a cool timelapse. Storm clouds are always so massive and really impressive. Looks really good. I am assuming this was done with your GoPro?

Re: Mountain Clouds Timelapse
Yes, the GoPro. First timelapse I've tried, other than "time warps" as GoPro calls them, while driving. Just set it up on a table using the grip with its tripod feature. I'm pretty happy for a first experience. I think it was about an hour and a half to two hours. Be yourself; everyone else is taken.

Re: Mountain Clouds TimelapseThe timelapse is a pretty cool feature. I have not used the timewarp feature. But cool video.

Re: Mountain Clouds Timelapse
Thanks Sidd. I had practiced using timewarp because of our recent Smokies trip. Thought it might be cool to do some as we approached the mountains. Unfortunately it rained most of the way there and wasn't worth doing, with the wipers going and all. Best laid plans... Be yourself; everyone else is taken.

Re: Mountain Clouds TimelapseNice one Dave. I must try that here soon. Too cloudy here today and they are not moving.

Thanks TreeTops. It's not that it took a lot of work or special skills on my part, but I did enjoy trying it and it seemed a good subject. I've seen a number of really cool timelapses and now I'm going to keep an eye out for more opportunities. Be yourself; everyone else is taken.

Re: Mountain Clouds TimelapseVery nice, Dave! I got my first look at the Smokies just a couple of weeks ago -- and then a week later -- as I drove through them on the way to and from South Carolina. They really are very beautiful!

Re: Mountain Clouds TimelapseYep, there’s something very special about those mountains Steve. Many go there for the Gatlinburg - Pigeon Forge experience, but we generally will try to avoid most of that and instead opt to spend most of our time actually in the mountains. I’ve done many trips to there and the Blue Ridge (mostly by motorcycle) over the past 40 years and never tire of it. Only on four wheels now, but still worth it. Be yourself; everyone else is taken.
