Anyone ever used them?
Do you get a brand new pair (hopefully wrapped) or are they used?
If they are new, do you get to keep them?
Sound quality?
thanks,
Paz

Re: Headphones or Earbuds on airplanesYou mean the ones the flight attendants hand out?
Those are usually sterilized and sealed in a plastic bag for your protection. And they're just fine for listening to music or watching reruns of "Big Bang Theory". They're not the highest quality, but I think that's so people don't steal them. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Headphones or Earbuds on airplanesUsually if you fly business class the earbuds are free, some airlines will give free earbuds to anyone who asks. They do not want them back, they are either free or you pay around $2 for them. That's on Delta and American, not sure about other airlines. I have a nice set that I use for the plane but if I forget mine, the free ones are ok for basic listening as Steve said above.

Re: Headphones or Earbuds on airplanesThanks for your replies. I'm thinking of a looped video where viewers could arrive and depart at any time. Several might be watching at once. They would not necessarily be seeing exactly what another person was seeing, so their sound needs to be silent. The sound would be very important.
There would be no cost, so hearing aids would need to be very cheap. How would it be possible to sanitize or sterilize electrical components? Any ideas? Are the airplane ones bluetooth? That is, no wires? Paz Whatever you do, don't set your coffee cup adjacent to your turps cup.
Re: Headphones or Earbuds on airplanesThe earbuds or headphones you get on a plane are wired only. Anyone who travels frequently probably has their own. Not sure you can connect to the plane audio with blue tooth at this time, never tried.

Re: Headphones or Earbuds on airplanesThanks, Chuck.
Not sure if this local fair is going to get off the ground anyway. Right now the best I can think of is headphones with some sort of disposable masking material over the viewers' ears. Maybe....! Whatever you do, don't set your coffee cup adjacent to your turps cup.
Re: Headphones or Earbuds on airplanesPaz, Have you thought of posting the video you want to show on vimeo or youtube, then create a QR code of the web address link. That way folks that have their smartphones can scan the qr code and watch the video directly on their phones. That way they could use all their own devices. At your booth you just need to print out a picture of your QR code so folks can come and scan it.
For example I created a QR code of Steve's pizza video. On your smartphone hold your camera up the the QR code and you will see a link. Click the link and Steve's video will play on your smartphone. https://www.qr-code-generator.com/ Sidd You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. Re: Headphones or Earbuds on airplanesNo, I hadn't thought of anything like that. Interesting!
I'll look into it. Thanks, Sidd! Paz Whatever you do, don't set your coffee cup adjacent to your turps cup.

Re: Headphones or Earbuds on airplanesMy smartphone camera doesn't work for QR codes. I have download several QR reader apps and they all have obnoxious adware so I have deleted them.
