Saving TextIs there a way to save a title or the presets. For example in Steve's YouTube Premiere Elements 2018 Basic Training Part 7 he creates a very nice on screen title with some motion. If this could be saved for re-use, then only the text would have to be changed and everything else would be done saving quite a few steps.
Re: Saving TextMake a project that has all of your titles in it. Save the project file and use that as a starting point for new projects.
Re: Saving TextI think Peru's suggestion is the only one that will work with current versions of the program, Ron.

Re: Saving TextThanks; I'll try that in the next video.
Re: Saving TextPremiere Elements 2020 lets you save your motion titles as custom presets.
Once you drag a custom preset to the timeline, you can modify any of the elements. I don't have earlier versions installed. Dell XPS 8940 Intel 8-core 10th gen.-i7 10700K (3.8-5.1 GHz); 32GB DDR4 2933 MHz RAM; 512 GB SSD; 2 TB 7200 HD; BDRE-drive; NVIDIA(R) Geforce(R) RTX 2060 SUPER(TM) 8G8 GDDR6
Re: Saving TextRobert is right. You can save motion titles as your own custom titles and you have been able to since this feature was introduced in version 14.
However, saving titles to your own collection is only available for Motion Titles. Not standard titles. (Early versions of the program used to include the option to save titles as files separate from your project -- but I'm not sure how long ago that feature was removed.) Re: Saving Text
I just discovered where in the 2020 version to export standard titles to .prtl files which you can later import as assets in other projects and modify. You must be in the Assets panel. Find your title in the Assets panel, then right-click on the title's icon and Export Title from the pop-up menu. The file will have a .prtl file extension. Re: Saving TextGreat find, Robert! Thank you!

Re: Saving TextThanks; I discovered as well. It is available on Version 15. Right click on the title in the Project Assets and choose Export Title. It will save it as a .prtl file in the folder of your choosing. You can then use Add Media function to pull it in on a separate project. I do not believe it has to be a motion title.
It is very useful if you do have a title that you have spent time finding the text color preference, border preference, script and motion you may have chosen to apply. I use a closing "title" that is consistent on most videos I make.
