Re: Bacteria spreadI know that scene and I can't even rewatch it right now, Sidd. Too sad and scary.

Re: Bacteria spreadIt is a scary time. Especially being in the "older" group. I'm trying to stay positive. With the TP chaos in our area I did a little photo shoot with our new additions. I'm trying to keep a little humor in my life at this point. I had taken an online Lifestyle Photography class on newborns at CreativeLive when my youngest had her son last year. Used some of my props. Photos of our new twins and the lower photo is of them as teens.

Re: Bacteria spreadOh, so creative, Cheryl.
Re: Bacteria spreadAs long as it's OK to use a bit of humor on this serious subject, we've taken some precautions at work, too:
Re: Bacteria spreadPeru I think you need more chains! In all seriousness the virus isn't a joke. Plan, stay home if possible, check on your neighbors. I have a history of panic attacks and anxiety. Humor helps my stress level. I posted the photos on FB and friends were glad for the smile. My friend has chronic pain and other health issues with MS. She said she had been sick with worry all day until she saw my photos.
My husband's work told all outside sales to call their customers instead of in person visits. And on the side his boss said especially my husband since he was older than dirt. My husband has a good rapport with his boss and they joke back and forth often. A lot of my friends didn't realize they were "elderly" until this virus hit. aka Cheryl

Re: Bacteria spreadI'm well aware that this is no joke.
My niece is in self quarantine. She is a manager in a large facility (about 5,000 employees at two campuses) and came into contact with a person that later tested positive for the virus. Fortunately, she is able to work from home and is doing well. My daughter works at the same company, but in a different department. Each department determines their own policy with regard to the virus. I'm not sure what precautions are being taken, but it is a secure facility that requires security clearances to enter (a US Government owned facility operated by a private contractor guarded by heavily armed security), so I'm sure that enforcement is not an issue. We live in a small town of a few thousand people, but are only eight miles from a city of 50,000 where the first case of the virus in our county was recently confirmed in a hospital patient. As with much of New York State, our schools, restaurants, bars, dental offices, most health care facilities, most places of worship, and a myriad of other businesses are closed. We own a hardware store in our town and are remaining open. We are a true Mom and Pop, as there is only my wife and myself working here. Years ago, we had several full and part time employees, but it's just us now. And yes, we wash our hands between waiting on customers. It's not too difficult as business is very slow now.
Re: Bacteria spreadWow Bob, Peru, sorry for your niece. Your area in the hot seat now. I didn't mean to imply that you thought it was a joke, I meant that my photos were not that I wasn't taking this seriously. Small businesses are going to be hit hardest in the coming days. Stay safe!

Re: Bacteria spread
I knew that.
I was trying to express the same thought, just more wordy.
Re: Bacteria spreadAhhhh all good Bob, Peru! Text missing inflection. Stay safe. On a positive note, my daughter found milk for us in St. Louis. She dropped it off on the doorstep with surprise flowers. The little joys in life.

Re: Bacteria spreadMom, love your work. What's the deal on toilet paper? Does CoronaVirus make you potty more often? Or do you need it to blow your nose? Good grief has the world gone nuts, or what. Caution yes, but nuts no. I'm naive, maybe missing something..besides teeth

Re: Bacteria spread
Apparently so. I saw an article that said about half of covid-19 patients had digestive issues including that specific one. But, that's incidental to the real issue: panic buying and hoarding. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
Re: Bacteria spreadI agree with Bob about the panic buying and hoarding.
Unfortunately, some people have been expecting chaos and looting, as handgun sales are soaring: https://www.google.com/search?q=handgun ... e&ie=UTF-8
