I was having some fun with some footage I shot last year of our local Egyptian Museum with my drone. I was trying for a Kaleidoscope effect. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Re: Museum KaleidoscopeWhen I first read your description I was skeptical - didn't sound interesting at all. But I have to say that this was pretty neat. It surprised me in a good way.

I was wondering about that...

I have taken the liberty of re-naming the thread in the hopes of making the post more intriguing. Sidd "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." ..... Ferris Bueller
Re: The Flying Kaleidoscope - Muvipix approvedSidd, that was interesting and fun to watch the symmetrical designs develop in addition to seeing the Egyptian museum.

Re: The Flying Kaleidoscope - Muvipix approvedThanks Mom, this give me a new perspective for capturing new footage. My favorite shot is at about :15. The palm tree shadows really mad for a cool geometric pattern. I need to try to experiment with some additional angles and see what I can come up with.

Re: The Flying Kaleidoscope - Muvipix approvedRidiculously cool Sidd! There were so many patterns and shapes to begin with - stuff you don't necessarily notice -the stairs, the columns, etc. but when you apply this effect you notice them everywhere!!
Wonder if it would look as cool if you used footage of your silverware drawer. Knowing your talent, it probably would!! Great job! Look forward to seeing more! Here's a pathetic note...it's been so long since I've actually posted here, I needed to look around for what to click to post a reply. Found it! PS Sidd - not sure you'd want to advertise that your video is approved by videovillageidiot...doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement, right? haha
Re: The Flying Kaleidoscope - Muvipix approvedthank you for the kind words. I post fairly regularly and I am always looking for the reply button.... lol
What I started to discover is that the more shapes that move the more interesting the geometric pattern it becomes. Silverware......hum.... better ask the better half for permission....
