Re: Firefox No Likey Yahoo MailThis isn't an issue with Windows. It's a Firefox/Yahoo issue regarding the SSL certificates being used. Firefox is not recognizing Yahoo's certificate. Yahoo just renewed it's SSL certificate about a week ago, maybe you're getting a cached certificate. Have Firefox display the certificate and validate that it's showing that it was issued to mail.yahoo.com by Symantec Class 3 Secure Server CA - G4 and is valid from 6/24/2016 to 6/9/2018.
There was an issue with Firefox wanting to have a complete chain of Extended Validation (EV) certificates from the issuing server through all intermediate servers to the site certificate. If a standard (not an EV) certificate was used in a chain that started with an EV certificate, Firefox would assume it was a phished site and consider the site certificate invalid. I don't know if this is still the case (I don't use Firefox), but Yahoo does break the EV chain. Other browsers don't have an issue with this. If this is the case, Chrome or IE will handle it fine and not complain. If the EV certificate chain is unbroken, the address bar will highlight the SSL connection in green. If the chain is broken, there will be no highlight.

I'll bet he doesn't know the answer to that.

Re: Firefox No Likey Yahoo MailI looked up some pages from the Mozilla support site that may help:
connection untrusted error message refresh firefox and reset add-ons and settings certificates and how to view them The Yahoo certificate is valid but the message you get says the issuer is unknown. Another possibility is the certificate cache is corrupted -- a refresh/reset should correct that.
Re: Firefox No Likey Yahoo Mail
Validity expires Jan 2017, so I granted the exception but Yahoo mail still not working. HP h8-1360t Win7 Home Premium 64-bit/Intel i7-3770@3.40GHz/8GB RAM/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050/LG BH10LS30 Blu-ray RW+SD DVD/CD RW+LightScribe/52" Samsung LCD HDTV (ancient 1080p)/PRE & PSE & ORGANIZER 2018/CS 5.1 & 5.5 (rare use)
Re: Firefox No Likey Yahoo Mail
The only difference is exp date Jan 2017 but granting the exception did not work. Here is what worked: Uninstalling and then reinstalling Firefox. Remaining problem is how to make Norton Identity Safe work the way it does with IE11 = flawlessly. I'll update when I've solved the problem. Thanks still once again for your help. Re: Firefox No Likey Yahoo Mail
UPDATE: That may take a while, as the current version of Firefox (47) does not support Norton Identity Safe.
