Re: How to erase an object in video? So, John, how did you do it?
Re: How to erase an object in video?Well, Peru Bob, I looked at the source video then painstakingly, frame by frame, cloned some of the background onto the area where the goose's head was. It took an age, as you can imagine, as even in that short clip there are eighty frames so eighty separate cloning operations. And if you believe any of that rubbish then I have succeeded royally in pulling your leg!
Remedy was simple, BCC Motion Key. https://www.borisfx.com/helpdocs/?page_id=951 If you watch the 'cleaned' video carefully in the lower left hand corner you can see a slight shimmering where the image was removed. In general, most folk will be looking at the heron so the 'evidence of tampering' would be overlooked and it only becomes apparent after watching the clip several times. You can see that effect more clearly on this clip: AMD Ryzen 3900x 12C/24T, ASUS x570 mobo, Arctic Liquid Freezer ll 280, Win11 64 bit, 64GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 graphics, Samsung 500GB NVMe 980 PRO (C:), Samsung 970 Evo SSD (D:), Dell U2717D Monitor, Synology DS412+ 8TB NAS, Adobe CS6.

I wish you hadn't told me that. I wouldn't have noticed it. Now that's all I look at.

There is a 'feather' parameter that I can ramp up a bit which should remove that ripple - or at least make it much less obvious. Re: How to erase an object in video?John!!!
That is FABULOUS! Wow. I agree that most would never notice. Especially since ripples are expected in water anyway. Thank you so much for doing this. I can see I need to check out this software.
