A terrific mini-documentary on the power of great movie editing.

BTW, despite the racy name of the documentary, there is no actual adult language in the video.

Re: The power of great movie editingThat was fun. A lot of good insights there. Isn't it amazing how it takes about a half second to recognize those classic movies? The thing about great editing is when you don't think about the editing. It just works.

Well... The "bleeps" are not quite all perfectly done, but the message is perfectly clear. A lot of good advice there.
Re: The power of great movie editingFascinating observations in how to edit. The narrator sounds like Steve. Thanks for posting the video!

Funny, I was thinking the same thing.
Re: The power of great movie editingI agree on the voice sounding like Steve. Just less of the Midwest accent. Maybe that guy can work to improve his voice...
I really enjoyed that clip had some great insight to making good movies. Although I must say I am more of a fan of the old style of horror where they never show the demon but make your mind create what is a lot scarier than what ever they could show on the screen. Re: The power of great movie editingAh, Steve SilverVoice!
Thanks for posting this. The more I learn about how 'good' movies are made, as opposed to simply watching and enjoying them, the more chances I have of thinking of a way to make my tutorials less boring. Perhaps wide shot vs close shot aren't going to make the difference, but the tension created by suspense might - if I can think of a way to introduce it!
