Re: The 2014 Fall Video ContestI liked it Peru. Must be something really nice that the swim team can have as a memory. This generation of kids will have a treasure trove of videos to look back at and remember how cool it was that here was a parent interested in preserving the memories. Well done.

Re: The 2014 Fall Video ContestThanks, Cheryl,Sidd, and Francesco.
Yes, I've wanted to learn AE for a while. AE is really the better way to do something like that. About a year ago I was fortunate to be able to purchase an Adobe CS5.5 Master Collection unopened box on eBay. I thought that I could just take some AE templates that I had and tear them apart to learn AE, but AE is not like any other application I've used. I purchased the Classroom In a Book tutorial and have been learning it that way, but it is a slow process. When I learn enough to really use AE, I'm going to create a new intro and maybe an outro.
Re: The 2014 Fall Video Contest"it is a slow process"... it looks like we have the same learning strategies, hehehe
The best for me ...
Re: The 2014 Fall Video ContestI think it is time for a last call and then we close and vote. would cutoff for this weekend be ok???

Re: The 2014 Fall Video ContestSidd, I am sorry very few members have posted their video.
Re: The 2014 Fall Video ContestNo worries... I think it is fun that there are entries regardless of quantity. It is interesting to see others creations.

Re: The 2014 Fall Video ContestTo be honest, I am curious about everyone's creation
Re: The 2014 Fall Video ContestBob, that was a great video! I'm a little embarrassed now; video editing is the closest thing to a passion I have, but I had no idea how to set that to video. Obviously you had no problems with it. Shame on me for not getting that done.
Those animations were really good. Did you do all of them in AE? Desktop: HPE-580T, i7-950 (3.07GHz), 16GB RAM, Win'7 64-bit Home Premium, PSE12/PRE12, Lightroom 5.
Laptop: MacBook Pro (retina), 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5. Cameras (in use): Panasonic GH4/Canon HFR400/Canon HV30, GoPro HD Hero2.
Re: The 2014 Fall Video ContestThe only thing done in AE was the "raining letters" in the beginning. I modified an AE text preset and keyframed a gaussian blur in Premiere Pro.
The actual video was done with Premiere Pro. I did the spinning disc in BluffTitler from a P Pro title, substituting the disc front and back in place of the front and back of a spinning penny video I had done previously in Blufftitler(about 100 keyframes). I did the penny in BT because I was more easily able to adjust the thickness of the edge of the penny. I used Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker to create the swim disc from photos prepared in Photoshop and did a screen capture to bring it into Blufftitler. I used BT instead of P Pro because I could not get the Basic 3D effect to work properly in P Pro. I used the disc label to print on hub printable discs to give to all of the swimmers and coaches.
