Re: 20 Useful Tricks in After EffectsTrip-Hop? Did someone mention Trip-Hop? The cycle mask color is very helpful when you have a lot of masks. He had a lot of good tips.

Re: 20 Useful Tricks in After EffectsThanks for that video. I've got it bookmarked.
I've been learning AE CS5.5 with Classroom In a Book and hopefully will be able to make some use of it. I tried dissecting some AE templates that I've gotten, thinking that I could learn AE as I did Premiere Elements (before I had P Pro) by just hovering, right clicking, and trying things. AE is a bit more complicated than most programs, so I had no success trying to learn it that way.
Re: 20 Useful Tricks in After EffectsBob, templates are confusing! I tried the same tactic to learn. There are many ways to accomplish the same thing in AE and some templates have expressions, etc.

Re: 20 Useful Tricks in After Effects
I haven't got to expressions yet.
Re: 20 Useful Tricks in After EffectsThanks for posting this video Cheryl! Now that I have a faster computer, I am going to learn AE ... ha!
Also, not sure if this has been posted before, but for Peru and anyone else starting out, I just watched these beginner AE tutorials and found them helpful. They go fast (about 20 mins each) http://www.kriscoartproductions.com/#!the-basics/c224b You can just click the blue Next Step button at the bottom of the pages to go to the next step if you want.
Re: 20 Useful Tricks in After EffectsNice find Karri! I haven't seen those tuts before or that website.
Peru, no worries just start with a specific tut that has a specific expression. There are lots of expressions out there for free. You just plug in your numbers to tweak the settings. aka Cheryl
