Hi everyone. Bobby's recent post "Hello Again!" (and being away awhile myself) reminded me of some of our past roll calls. So here we go. Whether you are a long time member or a new one, a subscriber or a visitor to our community, please join in.
No specific topic, just share whatever you would like to about video efforts, health, family, grandchildren, weddings, work, where you live ... anything at all.

I have been a member since Oct 17, 2007. I would have never gotten my video business off the ground without all the great people here at Muvipix who have given me so much advice and encouragement. I sometimes felt like Rose on the Golden Girls... "Can I ask a stupid question?" I never one time heard the response by Dorothy... "Better than anyone I know!", what I heard and felt was the expertise and patience of this wonderful group!
I have remarried, both he and I are retired, our motto is "eat, sleep, and travel". We have chased waterfalls from New England to Georgia. When we aren't traveling we enjoy sitting on our back porch watching birds (especially our hummingbirds), deer and other critters, tending our flower garden, and basically watching the grass grow.

Good to see you post Cinde! Congrats on your marriage and your retirement. Travel & chasing waterfalls and hummers is a great combination. Hope you post up some video. Most of my video projects are for family & friends. We have 2 grand daughters now that are 3 1/2 & 3 months. I plan on getting the 3 yo a camera for Christmas and hopefully we can have fun creating photos & video together. She likes to help me take photos & video now and loves to chimp between the shots. Good thing I have a spare battery. We are still hosting Int'l students from the local Uni so keeps things interesting and fun. Welcome back!

As many of you know, my big production every year is our annual family video yearbook, a 45-minute recap of the past year. Well, at the beginning of this year, I was worried that nothing big was going to happen in 2013.
Then my daughter announced she was getting married, my wife and I enjoyed a trip to California to do work for lynda.com, I was given a free trip to Germany by my brother-in-law and this fall I will become a grandfather.
That's why I always say that, if you dare to ask God for an adventure, you'd better fasten your seatbelts for a wild ride!

Please don't.
I'm even thinking of having my grandson call me Uncle Steve.

Congratulations Steve! Since you qualify now as honorary German, your grandson could call you opa ( = german for grandfather, oma = grandmother). That's what our now 4 (!) grandkids do. The first one is the most special one, maybe you could start a new block

Opa has a nice ring to it. The first time the grandbaby says Opa or Papa or Pepa or whatever, it will melt your heart. Aubrey said Dada & Papa way before GaMa, but when she did finally say GaMa I cried.

Congrats, Steve!
My father in law opted for "Big Daddy"!
Congrats on your association with Lynda too. Great tutorials there.

Thanks, Paz! I kind of like "Big Daddy". It's very Tennessee Williams.
