SloMo?Is it possible to take a clip, already shot, and slow it down or speed it up in Vegas 10?

Re: SloMo?Absolutely!
The easiest way is to put the clip on your timeline, hold down the Alt key and drag on its end. The longer you make the clip, the slower it will play; the shorter you make the clip the faster it will play. You can also right click on the clip/event on your timeline, select Properties and set the playback speed manually. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: SloMo?Couldn't be easier..thanks Steve

Re: SloMo?With Movie Studio it's ctrl drag. Could it be possible that Pro uses alt drag?
Re: SloMo?No. Sorry. Once again I made the mistake of trusting my memory instead of checking my own books.

Re: SloMo?I would add that the amount the clip can be slowed down (or sped up) is not unlimited. If one wants a greater slowing (or speeding) then one should render the clip. Once rendered, the slowing (or speeding) effect can be further amplified. There was not a noticeable degradation in quality with just one cycle.
I tried this for a sporting event. All I needed to do is to render once, then reapply the effect. I imagine if one wanted to slow down something moving much faster (like a bullet) multiple slow motion/render cycles would be required. Re: SloMo?Without a doubt! After all, you've only got 30 or, at most, 60 frames per second to work with. You can't add frames that don't exist.
Slow motion shots of bullets firing are shot with special high-speed cameras that shoot hundreds or more frames per second! HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
