right click drop down menu

Postby hpharley90 » Tue Oct 30, 2012 6:10 pm

I was working on a project. I was trimming clips, split clip (control -k) and then I would right click clip and get the drop down menu, then I would click delete and close gap.Great.
I did that procedure on maybe 12 clips. Things are good.
Then somewhere after these things went wrong.
I right click and I don't even get the drop down now.
I have closed and restarted software. I rebooted PC.
I also tried opening other projects and I cannot get right click and get drop down menu to open.
I'm trying it now and the clip will high lite but no menu.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Richard

You don't get right-click options on any programs -- or you don't get right-click options in Premiere Elements only -- or you get all of the right-click menus in Premiere Elements except these?

Meantime, have you manually gone to Windows Update and made sure you have even the non-critical updates? And you have the latest version of Quicktime?

Try starting Premiere Elements while holding down the LEFT Shift and Ctrl keys, this will flush the cache and preferences.

Thanks guys for your insight.
For a few hours over the past couple of days I was having a hard time with my optical mouse.
Right click was not working anymore.(it took me awhile to figure it out) Not even on the desk top. I brought a mouse home from work today to try and it works.
So I'll go buy a mouse now and be back in business.
Thank you. :-D
Thanks
Richard

I think this is the second mouse problem recently, what is up with all the mice lately?
