Don't forget about the Wax plugin from Debugmode http://www.debugmode.com/wax/

It still works in PRE 10. Wax has a habit of hanging up the computer requiring a reboot, so save your project before using it. There are a lot of interesting effects too good to give up on Wax because of it's bad habit. It seems more stable though in PRE 10 than it was in earlier versions.

I'm not sure if it's compatible with Win7, but it works on XP 32-bit.
