How to identify which clip is in the timeline?

Postby jonnyD » Thu Oct 09, 2014 11:53 am

Another newbie question: how can I determine which clip from my media window is in my timeline? When I move the playback head over different clips, I do not see anything anywhere that tells me which clip I'm using.
Computer: 3.2 GHz i5 CPU; 8GB RAM; ASUS GTX660 graphics card; Win 7 Pro 64-bit; 120GB SSD boot drive plus 1.5TB internal HDD
Software: Sony Movie Studio Platinum suite 13.0; Photoshop CS5

Under View, check Active Take Information. IF you are in Movie Studio Platinum 13 Simple Mode (and in Movie Studio, maybe), it seems you need to right-click on the event (that's the clip on the timeline) and click Properties > Video Event to see the Active take name.
