A question regarding previews

Postby artsoul » Fri Jul 11, 2014 7:40 am

can I ask what I can do to make the previews for editing play back without glitching?

I have a few videos in the timeline

At the moment there are no FX

I work on one at a time so they are solo-ed

I imported a video in my DAW and it played perfectly with huge amounts of processing power being used by the audio so I'm not sure why Moviemaker cant play a clip with nothing enabled without glitching

The settings for the videos are on the match settings import dialouge.

Thanks in advance

Andy you need to render the timeline. This is done by pressing the spacebar. The program will then render everything making it smooth on playback.

Also, are you asking about MovieMaker or Sony Movie Studio? They're very different programs. And, if you're using Movie Studio, which version of the program are you using? Newer versions of the program are optimized for newer video formats.

What model of camcorder is your video coming from and what format and resolution is it?

What are your Video Project Settings in Movie Studio? The more closely your project settings match your video specs, the more efficiently the program will perform.

You also say: "The settings for the videos are on the match settings import dialouge." By this, do you mean that you've applied the Match Media Settings tool to a sample of your video?

The Zoom Q3HD shoots in three resolutions. Which setting are you shooting at?

If you go to your Movie Studio project's properties, does it show this video spec? For some video formats that Match Project Settings tool doesn't recognize the video specs.
