I can work a while and then I get an error message. I close MS13 and reopen and everything is fine, then after a bit it happens again. Any ideas? Thanks.

Also, have you got the latest update of Movie Studio -- as well as the latest download of Quicktime?

Have you run Windows Disk Cleaner and Disk Defragmenter lately? If this is a new computer, it will definitely need a good cleaning and defragmenting!

What antivirus program are you running and do you have its latest update? When did you last run a complete antivirus scan on your computer?

Everytthing is square with the exception of Disk Cleaner and Defrag; need to do that. I use AVG 2014.

I get that error every now and then. My solution: Save, then reboot Vegas.

Thanks Kent. I do, it's just a pain that has cropped up recently. I had it do it one time in another program, so it could be a Windows hickey.

I've made no physical changes, but for whatever the reason I can record again, but something has changed because I get an echo and never have. I had to go in and mute StereoMix (the recording app) and then everything was fine. To record a sound from the computer I had to mute the speakers; have never had to do that before. Still kind of confused, but at least I can record now. I just have to mute the right stuff.
