Trimmer Window

Postby mikesteve » Sat Jul 20, 2013 6:47 pm

How do you open the trimmer window and have the project media clips open at the same time? I watched Steve's 8-part video where he had the preview window on the right, trimmer window in the center and the media clips on the left. Then the project media folders to the left of that.

When I right click on a video clip and select open in trimmer window, my media clips window closes. I only have the preview window open and the trimmer window open. I can't see the other media files.

Thanks,
Mike

You don't say which version of Movie Studio you're using but, on many versions, the Trimmer is by default in the tabbed set of panels with the Project Media, Explorer, Video FX and Transitions panels. In order to have it appear in the center panel, you have to drag it by its gripper (the little dots in the upper left corner of the panel) to pull it out of this tabbed set, and then drag it into the center drop zone.

For what it's worth, I do show you how to do this on our book. ;)
