Uploading to youTube

Postby super8guy » Sat Jun 08, 2013 10:12 am

Never had any trouble before, now I get the message: "Your youtube username or password was not recognized by the server."

I've tried to log in to youTube from my browser and have no trouble, so I know my username and pw are accepted. For some reason they are no longer accepted when I attempt the Make Movie option from within MSP 12.0.

Anyone have similar issues or any ideas what is now blocking my uploads?

Thanks!

YouTube continues to be a moving target. It's most likely something at their end.

Have you tried doing a Render As to save your movie as an MP4 and then uploading that to YouTube manually?

At your suggestion, I tried that, and the video failed to process. I got an error message saying that it didn't recognize the format of the video. This vid was made by an iphone5 and was rendered to a .vf file by MSP 12. I suspect that's an incompatible format for youTube.

I then tried to upload manually the .mp4 version, and it worked. Thanks!

A .vf file is a Vegas/Movie Studio project file, super8. It's not a finished video. No wonder YouTube couldn't recognize it!

Go to File/Render As and select the output template Main Concept AVC/Internet 720p. This will create an MP4 file, pretty much the ideal format for loading to YouTube.

I've been having exactly the same problem with the tool for uploading directly from Movie Studio to YouTube. It used to recognise my username and password, now it doesn't. Rendering as mp4 and uploading from within YouTube's interface seems the only answer. Not a big problem, but a nuisance.

Engelhard,

I uploaded a video from within MSP 12 to YouTube yesterday and had no problem. Who knows why these glitches occur, but best to try it again another time.
