Secret Vegas Menu to enable 8 thread rendering

For those that have an i7 Quad w HyperThreading, there is a secret menu in Vegas Pro to enable 8 threads for much faster rendering.

I found this info on another forum (http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/what-happen ... reads.html). There are some cravats so read the whole post before tinkering with that menu.

Since I don’t have Vegas Pro, I looked at my Movie Studio 12 to see if it was there. Yes it was.
For Movie Studio 12: Options>>Shift Preferences>>A new tab appears called INTERNAL.

Since this menu affects the Registry, you should back it up before doing any changes.

Maybe Steve can explain some of the useful ones to play around with.

Well, there are a number of "hidden" settings in Movie Studio, and I discuss a couple in my books.

If you hold down the Shift key as you open Options/Preferences and then click on the Internal tab, you'll see some of the program's deeper settings.

Although my feeling is that, if you have to go too deep, maybe it's something you shouldn't be tinkering with anyway.
