VMSHD Platinum 10. to Disc

Postby hpharley90 » Sun Oct 09, 2011 11:59 am

I bought the download version of Vegas Movie Studio H Platinum 10.0 and DVD Architect Studio 5.0 when ever it came out. I haven't edited a movie in over a year.
I have 12 tapes waiting for me to get to. I never got a handle on Vegas. Too different than Adobe.
I even have Steve's book.

Any way I like the way Premiere Elements 10.0 handles my HDV footage.
After trying out the trial version I will purchase it so I can get some editing done.

Now my question. Can I take and burn my Vegas to a disc so that I can retain a hard copy?
Thanks
Richard

Sure... But what you are trying to retain a hard copy of? Are you trying to save the program itself?

If so, it won't do you any good to just save what's in your Program Files. You need the installation files. Check the Sony site and you may still be able to find a copy of version 10. If not, and you didn't keep a copy, you might be in trouble. You may need to upgrade to buy the upgrade to version 11 (not an entirely bad thing) and download it.

But DVD Architect Studio 5 is still available, so you can re-download that if you didn't keep the installation file.

Burn those installation files to discs and keep a copy of your activation/serial numbers and you should be all set.
