Talk about the Sony Vegas line of products.

Steve, thanks for posting the following comment in a previous post above: "FWIW, I actually had to uninstall the NewBlue Titler in order to be able to successful install version 13."

That fixed my loading problem also. Movie Studio Platinum 13 would not load until I did your suggestion.

VKMAST and I had been working on this problem for weeks. Sony never responded to my email for help in this matter.

I want to thank all that tried to help.

TTR,
so your problem seems to have been in fact the same as BuddyB is having as well.
Glad you spotted the offending party :).
And a clue was hiding in that SCS thread linked here as well.
As earlier said it's a pity that the initial versions of NBFX Titler add-on packages with Vegas/Movie Studio continue to be problematic.

Vk I bought the packaged version, but here's the link: http://hitfilm.com/sony-movie-studio-13 It appears to be open to 13, so when they're ready you should be good to go. And I just noticed a little duplication on my part..pardon please. And I didn't get the response from NB that I was expecting today. This may be a loser.

BuddyB,
yes, the link's the same one that I refer to in my earlier post.
Just to be clear on this, do you see any HitFilm video FX plug-ins in your version of MSP 13 at the moment?
I do have the 7 or so HF FX.

VK, this is really strange, I do see plug-ins from HitFilm in two areas. The second area underneath HitFilm I see New Blue Titler, but that has to be a ghost from previous install attempts because there is absolutely nothing for it in Add/Remove Programs. That might possibly be the reason I'm having difficulty with the reinstall that NB emailed me. It could also, possibly, be the reason I saw two of the same MSRP files in ADD/Remove. Gonna' have to play some more today I guess. Do you know of a way to clear the NB out of Media Generators?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Buddy, maybe someone will be able to recommend an uninstaller or cleaner for this. It's also possible that RegEdit is needed.
Read experiences here.

Hopefully others will chime in with their own experiences with this.

Hope you're right. I'm not much interested in fooling with the Registry; am afraid I'll mess something up. NB is pretty responsive, they're now asking about my video card, driver date or Catalyst version. We'll see how that works out. Thanks VK. I haven't the foggiest idea about Catalyst, means nothing to me.

Catalyst is the device driver and utility software package for the AMD/ATI line of video cards. If you use a Radeon video card, you use Catalyst.

Buddy, run dxdiag to start the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and click the Display tab there.

Well now there then, NB says the driver for my ATI Radeon HD 4250 card is way outdated and said I need to get the latest. Well I tried that on about 3 versions, the first two would not give me my 1600X900 window for the Emachine monitor I have. The third totally crashed windows, would not reboot, had to do a restore to get it to run again. I'm not sure if I have an available slot for a new display card; think I used the only one available for the firewire. Have to check that out. The last time I looked I saw another card slot but it didn't look like the right type. Ain't computers grand??? :)

Which driver version did you try? According to AMD you should be on 13.9 (which is not the latest release) and what are you on currently?

I'm using 02/10/2010 8.710.0.0. I tried 13.9 and it would not give me the correct aspect ratio for the Emachine monitor. However, I'm gonna' give 13.9 one more shot and see if I can make it work. Thanks Chris.

I did get 13/9 to work, so that's covered. Now I have an issue with Movie Studio 13, it won't open, crashing as it's trying to open. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my weekend. I will contact Sony today and see what's shakin'. I'm quite sure that New Blue is the reason.

BuddyB,
keep us posted on the NB situation. NB say that TitlerPro 1 shouldn't have problems with MSP 13 now. Maybe I've missed it but I don't see them saying anything about TitlerEx.

TTR,
They must be watching the forums

I'm just as surprised as you...:)
