Slide show

Hi Guys,

Created a slideshow of my son's t-ball team for end of season party. The slideshow itself looks pretty good - created in Photoshop Elements 8. The problem comes when turing it into a DVD in using Premiere Elements 9... The results are far from crisp and clear. Somewhere I'm loosing all the high res quality (Photos shot with Canon Rebel xt). Any recommendation on what settings to use for the PH E output and the PR E input? Really appreciate any help as the party is coming at the end of the month!

Thank you,
Bic

DVDs are not high resolution. They are video resolution -- which is roughly equivalent to 640x480 pixels.

It doesn't matter if you're using 10 megapixel images in your slideshow. They're still only 640x480 when they're rendered as video.

That's why we recommend, for best results, you rez your photos down to no larger than 1000x750 pixels in size before you add them to a video slideshow. Adding higher resolution doesn't give you a cleaner, more detailed photo. It just makes rendering your video take longer.

For best results when the goal is to produece a quality DVD, send the PSE slideshow to PRE and burn the DVD from PRE.

Reason: PRE provides many more options for sharing.
