Yes, he is going to put 9 hrs on a dvd.. he has done in the past.. i am assuming it has worked for him.. he used a different version of PRE and didn't have any problems. the problems i have encountered trying to do this are: plug in dll missing, not enough hd space for temp files.. the files will only render the first 2 or 3 hours of video. it's crazy. right now i am trying to save them as a dv-avi file.. i think that is what i am doing.. this has been a project... if it doesn't work after this trial, i am done... i gave it my best shot.. :pull: :pull: :pull: :pull:

I would say about 99% of his problems are related to squeezing 9 hours of video on one DVD, Donna. Even if he has successfully done it in the past.

Can you possible convince him to, at the very least, spread it over 4 discs?

Hi Donna, I agree with Steve. That is just too big of a project.
At least as a test cut everything but the first hour or two, save that as a separate project and then burn it to a DVD. I bet that works fine ;) Even splitting it into two DVDs might be enough but I agree with Steve that 4 DVDs would be much better. I can't imagine how much quality would be lost putting 9 hours of footage on one DVD.

I ask him about it and he said he didn't want to mess with that many dvd's.. it is a down syndrome conference.. i haven't looked at last years but i worry about the quality of the dvd. i saved it as a dv-avi finally.. hopefully he can burn it from there. i opened it up in a new project but it didn't fit the format but did allow me to change the files.. i didn't try to burn it so i am waiting to see what happens. i don't have a dual layer dvd burner yet so i could do it.. can't wait to hear how this turns out....
