Need advice - Which SG book? :)

Postby Ted » Wed Mar 23, 2011 7:53 am

Good morning, all from a VERY rainy California.

A neighbor down the street who goes by the name of Noah... he's shopping online for some wood. LOTS of wood. Not sure what he has planned.

Anyway,

I've made the decision to purchase one of Steve's books...either the Premiere Elements 9 guide or the Photoshop and Premiere Elements 9 suite guide.

I'm wondering which you would suggest.

I'm leaning towards the Premiere guide only because a) I already have a PSE 9 book for Dummies and 2) it's COLOR! :) (Yes, I know there is a B&W version for about $7 less expensive, but for some reason the color is just more appealing to me!)

I guess I'm trying to figure out what the Premiere Elements exclusive guide has that the Suite guide does NOT have? Or are they essentially the same material?

Thanks for any advice. :) I'd like to purchase this (through the Muvipix store of course!) today because, with my Amazon Prime membership, I can have it by Friday! :)

There entirety of the Premiere Elements 9 book is included in the combined Photo Elements/Premiere Elements 9 book, Ted. It's not in color -- but it is a real value!

So if color is a dealbreaker for you, then you definitely want the Premiere Elements 9 only book.

But if you want over 400 pages of great stuff on both programs (including things I'm sure the Dummies book didn't include ;) ) you might want to consider the combined book.

Thanks for the clarification, Steve! :)

Now to just weigh how important color is to me. :) But you're right...sounds like an incredible value!

Okay... color won the vote. ;)

I purchased the copy and can't wait to get my hands on it...thanks, Steve, for the recommendation! :)

(Not sure if it helps you all, but I bought it through the Muvipix store). :)

For as many times you all have helped me through the years, it's the very least I can do. :)
