Capture Window is Not FULLY coming up.

Specific to Premiere Elements Version 9.

Capture Window is Not FULLY coming up.

any reason why this may happen ? i am beginning to think that PRE9 is relying on a Internet Connection as well.

Why would you think that, Don? Have you gone to the Window menu and selected Restore Workspace to see if that makes any difference?

And can you post a screen capture here of what you're seeing?

I'm also concerned that you're trying to run your computer without an internet connection. Your Mac definitely needs to have one, since Apple releases updates and patches regularly. In fact, they just released several in the past week. Could your problem be that your system did not update?

I highly recommend capturing with free utilities other than Premiere Elements. The capture has always gone so much better when I use WinDV for standard definition video and HDVSplit for my HDV video :)

I'm sure that there must be other capture programs for the MAC, even iMovie should work fine.

I'm just talking about for capture purposes only.

You don't need to be logged in, you don't even need to have an internet connection at all.
Premiere Elements, like many applications, will run without an internet connection.
The only purpose for the internet is for updates to the program, that's all.

If the capture feature isn't working correctly there is something else wrong.

You certainly do not need to be logged in to Photoshop.com to capture video, Don.

But I'll be darned if I know what to recommend at this point, Don. From your previous posts, I've gotten the idea your computer won't even recognize the camcorder connection.

Maybe it's time to have a Mac expert look at your system. This may be beyond anything we can do for you here. Sorry.

Steve it already Recognizes the Camcorder. one of the problems also is. that it says finding user name. while it is still trying to find it. i am also trying to capture.
