Adobe Firefly

Postby momoffduty » Thu Jan 11, 2024 1:47 pm

Adobe's AI app that has a few features to create something from nothing except text commands. The text creator is used by describing what you want and there are font, color and background colors to choose from. The file is 2048x2048. I made this one using the description: camcorders cameras DVDs music notes. I choose a transparent .png file and added the white background in PS. Looks like some lines that need cleaning up.

This creation description was schnauzer in a flower pot. I uploaded a photo of my pup for inspiration.

There are monthly points in the app plus the same from PS for using the AI features. In PS that would include the remove subject tool and the generate content, extend canvas, etc. The points are 750 a month with each AI use is 1 point. The point system is in their help files.

I've been playing more in Firefly text to image. There are styles to choose from and if you want photo or art with a few sliders. I uploaded my pups photos for the image sample to draw from. The key words for the text is a little wonky results and some very good ones. A few I did of the pups. I had to touch up in Photoshop on the paws on the camera. It gave me one paw and one human hand.

Yes, I've found Firefly and the Generative AI in Photoshop to be a bit weird sometimes. :conf:

Thanks Steve! Firefly is a rabbit hole!

Bob, Peru, I think the order of your text makes a difference. Clear and concise text works best. It is fun to see what the program creates.

I don't think it's a matter of the text inputs.
Things like 3 or 6 fingered hands, half of a pair of scissors, extra arms and legs, etc. are what I was referring to.
I usually click the button to report those issues in hopes that the feedback will improve things.

Ahh yes the extra fingers and toes. It has a hard time with ears too. Have you tried the Nueral Filters in Photoshop?

The only one I have tried is the colorize. It is hit or miss. At least it is a good starting point. There is one I may try which is harmonize. For compositing it meshes the tones to look like it was originally one photo.
