Converting video for blackberries etc

Postby cdeemer » Wed Oct 27, 2010 11:48 pm

I know squat about blackberries and such but was wondering ... does one have to make a video compatible with a blackberry or ipad or ipod etc or do the owners just download a video file in one of the standard formats and watch it? I'd like to make some of my videos available to electronic devices and from what I gather it seems I have to do a special conversion for each device, that there are no standards. What's the deal? Thanks.

Blackberries can play AVIs, 3GPs and MP4s, according to specs I found online.

If you're using Premiere Elements, try using Share/Portable Devices/iPod. That should produce a pretty universal MP4 at portable player quality.
