When I try to start PSE and Organizer I have following message:
"Adobe has detected that the program terminated unexpectedly"
I have not make any changes since it worked before.
Are there anyone who can give me any declaration ?
Regards Thomas

Re: Problem to start OrganizerYou say this is happening when you "try to start PSE and Organizer". So are you saying that this happens when you try to start Photoshop Elements -- before you see the Welcome Screen?
Or are you saying that this just happens when you try to launch the Organizer from the Welcome Screen? HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Problem to start Organizer
1 -- Last time you used the Organizer and it worked, how were you using the Organizer - what did you do with the Organizer that last time ? 2 -- Now, do you see any other messages before the program terminates unexpectedly ? And do you see any part of the normal Organizer screen before the program terminates ? 3-- Do you also have Premiere Elements 8 installed and if yes how long has it been installed? 4 -- What vesion of Windows is running on this computer ? 5- See http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/pho ... er_crashes It is part of a series of FAQs written by a knowledgeable Adobe customer. As is common for troubleshooting, it contains many possible steps. Based on your answers to my 1 thru 4 questions, I might be able to suggest a likely cause so that you could start with a specific troubleshooting action first.
Re: Problem to start OrganizerWhen I start PSE and select Organizier the blank screen appears. After a short while the program shut down and the error message pop up. The same is happend if I try to open Organizer from PRE.
I try to hold down shift when I start PSE to start the Catalog Manager. I have selected Custom Location. If I select the default My Catalog which is emty it seems to work. I also try to select Repair and got the answer that there is no problem with the catalog. The only thing I have done is that I switched to Windows 7 Home Premium
Re: Problem to start OrganizerIs your Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit? And did you upgrade from Vista or XP?
Particularly if your new operating system is 64-bit, you may need to uninstall and reinstall some programs in order for them to work. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Problem to start OrganizerI have Windows 7 64 bit and upgrade from Vista 64 bit. Before I upgrade I make some backups including My Catalog in Organizer luckily for me. I have about 12000 stills with lot of tags. I replace the catalog and it works. Something must have done with catalog during the updating. Experience of this is to always take backups.
Thanks for your help. Thomas
