Hi All,
I have a problem with occasional (and random) 'jerking' of image in some clips. To see more details see the attached file. I would appreciate if someone would be able to help.
Regards from Darwin, Australia.

THE PROBLEM
After importing video to Adobe Premiere Elements 8 project, when viewing the project (in timeline or sceneline) there is an occasional 'jerk' of image caused by couple of frames being out of place. It is not related to my camera (Sony HDR-XR200) because when I back play recorded footage it is OK. Jerking begins only after importing into Elements 8 project. When I zoom on the problem area in the timeline I clearly can see couple of frames with rapid change of movement before everything comes back to normal (see two examples below).
Below is the technical information. Can someone help?
Andrew
1. My computer.
DELL studio XPS 435 Desktop
Windows 7 (64 bit)
Intel(R) Core(TM)i7-950 Processor (3.06GHz, 8MB)
12GB (6x2GB) DDR3 SDRAM 1066MHz Memory
Two 1TB SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drives with Native CommandQueuing
1024MB ATI(R) Radeon(TM) HD 4870 Video Card
Creative PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi(TM) Titanium Sound Card
2. All Clips are AVCHD. I import them to PC using Sony PMB program and then import to PrE8 via Get Media>Files and Folders. Yes, the camera is set to DD 5.1 SS Audio.
3. Project presets are: PA_-AVCHD-FullHD 1080i 25 5.1 channel
4. Examples of 'jerking'. Video clip 1: woman’s head is facing the camera. Then for couple of frames (two or three) her head rapidly turns 90 degrees and then comes back to normal again. It looks to me that these 'out of place' frames were taken from the other place within the same clip and inserted here.

Andrew
