Sadly, I agree. I've given version 8 my best shot. Got all the bugs worked out and managed to stabilize it on both computers. But the few new features just don't justify the huge footprint. It's a big, sloppy resource hog.

What I wouldn't give to see a stripped-down, back to basics Premiere Elements with less bells and whistles and more plain old Vegas-style stability.

I'm not sure you can blame Mike I. If you notice, the Pinnacle software is exactly the same after he left as when he was there. And, why did he leave? Maybe it was because of the shoddy way Pinnacle was doing business. Until we have the answers to those questions, we pretty much know nothing.
