Regarding the slideshow category... no video... what about the use of video backgrounds downloaded from Muvipix for example?

Hi,

I uploaded a film, but didn't make a small thumbnail because I had no idea how to. I'm brand new to the board and was very confused. I did everything correctly except the thumbnail. Will my video be disqualified? Is there any way I can make a thumbnail now? Thanks!

The way to create a thumbnail is to export a frame from your video, maybe a title or something, then resize the image to 100 x 100 or something close to that.
If you can please do the thumbnail, if you can't you will not be disqualified but your video will only have a generic thumbnail.

I'm sorry, I forgot to specify. I know how to create a thumbnail, haha, but I do not know how to upload it onto the site and put it on my video, thanks!

I have a question about the slide show category. The rules say no video, but am I allowed to have a tiny 'miniture' person on the screen (used a green screen) pointing, kicking, and pushing the pictures as they come across the screen? The 'miniture person' was shot with a video camerra, but the main event is the pictures.

The rule for the slideshow category is No Video, others have asked similar questions and we have said no.
The rules specifically state - No Video, you can use a motion background that is available to any contestant but that it all.
Sorry.

You can enter it into one of the other categories or take the video portion out if you want to enter into the Slideshow category.

Someone uploaded a video for the contest, but they weren't logged in. So, needless to say, we have no idea who the video belongs to. It's a FLV formatted video uploaded yesterday (Mar 30). I believe it's the only FLV video received so far.

If no one claims the video before April 7'th, it will have to be disqualified.

PS - when submitting your videos, please include a thumbnail, a description and a category.

-Ron
