Re: Smartphone Cameras vs Reality! So, extrapolating out a bit, when I'm recording driving video from my GoPro and I run that red light, the software can just recognize that the light should have been green and fix it for me. Or when a photo of me is recognized that I've gained 20 lbs in the past Covid year it can be "corrected" to reflect how I "ought" to look. This can go wrong in so many ways. With the advent of deepfakes, and some of them are absolutely undetectable by me, it's been clear for some time that we're going to reach a point where we won't be able to tell reality from deception in the world of photography and video. This goes so far beyond "Photoshopping". As with all things anymore, technology which was created with innocent intent will be used by the ever-growing amoral body with nefarious intent. Very interesting enlightenment, Sidd.

I fear that we are already at the point where government (state) actors are very easily able to manipulate images. Some states have been doing it for years but less easily then than now. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. AMD Ryzen 3900x 12C/24T, ASUS x570 mobo, Arctic Liquid Freezer ll 280, Win11 64 bit, 64GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 graphics, Samsung 500GB NVMe 980 PRO (C:), Samsung 970 Evo SSD (D:), Dell U2717D Monitor, Synology DS412+ 8TB NAS, Adobe CS6.
Re: Smartphone Cameras vs Reality! There seems to be a real conscious blurring of reality and what someone "desires to be reality". It will get to a point that when everyone is special no one is special.

Re: Smartphone Cameras vs Reality!I wonder if there is a way to turn all the AI off when taking photos?

Re: Smartphone Cameras vs Reality!
Yeah, right. That would be giving up control over us unwashed heathen technology users. Microsoft proved a long time ago that big tech companies don't trust us with options. We'll do it their way or else. Be yourself; everyone else is taken.
