Finishing Movie to DVD

Postby kmsmith1016 » Thu Feb 03, 2011 1:59 pm

I have made a movie that I want to burn as a DVD. I have finished all of my editing, selected a Menu from the themes, and selected scenes. My question is how do I save it as a DVD? I tried exporting it and it saved it as an AVI file. It plays fine in Windows Media player, but I do not have my opening Menu and cannot choose scenes. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much!! I tired that, but didn't think that it had worked. I guess I was thinking that it was going to take a lot longer. Now for another question...I tried adding in some additional clips to my video and the very end of the clip is getting cut off. When I toggle through the video, I see the end of the video, but it's not showing up in my movie. It is also putting a black frame in front of the video clips. This is happening at the end of my movie, after I have put in rolling credits. Could this have something to do with it?

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're telling me, km.

Can you post a screen capture of your timeline so we can see it?

:wcm: It sounds like a possible gap between the old and new clips. Zoom in on the timeline to check, and slide the new clip over to eliminate the gap.

The work area bar also may still be over only the old clips. Drag the end of it to include the new clips. :wcm:

Thanks Peru, your suggestion about zooming in fixed the black frames that were showing!

I am still having problems with the end of the clip being cut off. I am attaching two screen shots to try and show what I am talking about. Thanks for your help...you all are awesome!!!!

It looks like you are in the sceneline view. I think that you will find it easier to make the necessary adjustments if you use the timeline view. Oh, and welcome to Muvipix. :wcm:

Yes I strongly agree with John. Working in Timeline view makes things a lot easier to see and understand.

And I will third that recommendation. Sceneline is for quick production of a Movie or Slideshow without making very many changes and little editing. You will be amazed at what all is available from the Timeline view :)
