Saving file in Quicktime format - I have a PC - need 4 Mac

Postby coolstuffiniowa » Tue Jun 02, 2009 12:46 pm

ok - please dont yell at me - I have searched for this - but cant seem to find it.........

I am working on a PC and a buddy of mine wants to use a bit of my film on one of his projects.

He has a Mac I guess cause he wants the stuff in Quicktime format

what do I save the file as?

I am going to ASSUME
that all I have to do is Export the file -
change the settings in the File Type to Quicktime

Is this all I have to do?

or do I need to change the compressor setting?
how about pixel/aspect ratio?
and the keyframe/rendering stays the same?

ANY advice on this will be appreciated and if I have missed this thread earlier - please link it so I can read it -

To give him video quality, go to Share and select the Personal Computer option -- then select Quicktime MOV from the list of options.

Click the Advanced button. Then, on the Video Codec panel, select Apple PAL DV or Apple NTSC DV/DVCPro (whichever is appropriate for you).

If version 4 doesn't have that option, click to the select the timeline and then, from the File menu, select Export/Movie. In the screen that pops up, click Settings.

In the Export Movie Settings screen, on the General page, File Type to Quicktime.
Then, on the Video page, set the Compressor to DV-PAL or DV/DVCPRO-NTSC.
