Wmv, with Avi files Export problem

Postby Tony Wade » Sun Apr 19, 2009 2:32 pm

I have an edited project which combines WMV files and AVI files. When I try to export as an AVI, PE3 crashes.
When I try to export as an MOV, I end up with a tiny unplayable file.
Any ideas?

I should also say, that when I try exporting as an AVI, I get a notice saying that 'file is not associated'. I also tried pre-rendering, and the same thing happens. I just need to export as an AVI for storage. I haven't run into this before.

Might be a codec problem, but a file association is windows trying to pair a file type with a particular application.
Odd...

Tony, save your project with a new name (Save As) and see if that helps (exporting from the new project).

It must have been some kinda glitch. I made a DVD, no problem...Then imported the DVD, back into PE3, and Exported as an AVI.
My next project was the same combo of WMV's and AVI's, and it worked no problem at all.
