deleting a clip and closing the gap

Postby spressman » Sat Apr 04, 2009 5:15 pm

I'm trying to delete a clip while also closing the gap that's created after deletion. I see that option when I right-click on the clip, but the gap is not closing after I go ahead and delete. I've got audio on the soundtrack at that spot, but no other audio track at that particular point. Is there some sort of closing-the-gap trick that I'm missing or is it not possible to do that?

thanks,
steve

Probably not. If you've got video or audio on a parallel track, you may not have a true gap for the program to delete and close.

Sometimes I'll temporarily peel back my soundtrack until the gap closes and then untrim the soundtrack again.
