Discussions concerning Premiere Elements version 1 - 4.

I think the answer is yes but wanted to confirm and also see if others had issues with returns Adobe gives you 30 day money back guarantee...right ? Since they don't have a trial version of PE4/PS6 I'm thinking I should get as long as I can return within 30 days.
So if I have PE2/PS4 ...do I need to unload before installing PE4/PS6 or can they coexist ? Also, anyone have issues removing PE4/PS6 (in case I had problems)? Thanks for any help.

You can have older versions and newer versions of Photoshop and Premiere Elements on the same computer, tj. Each version is a complete program and they have no effect on previous installations and don't need previous installations in order to install (even if you paid the upgrade price).
If you feel the need to later uninstall the newer versions (and I expect you'll be pleased with these newer versions -- they've got very little downside), you can do so without affecting your previous versions.

Steve, thanks for that great information! Anyone have experiences returning software....is there a 30 day return ?
Also, relative to the catalog with PS6 ... if I was to load PS6, would the organizer/catalog be changed to NOT be compatible if I reverted back to PS4 ? May not be the right forum but thought someone might know

Version 4 has its own organizer and catalog, so does version 5 and again in version 6. Anything you add to the catalog or organizer in version 6 will not be in your version 4 or 5 organizer or catalog. At least that is the way I think it works You can move all of your images from prior versions to the new versions organizer but I still think the older version organizer and catalogs remain intact.

Why not ask Adobe directly, tj?

There aren't many people that return the product and those that do don't ever speak to us again

Hmmm....not quite true Chuck! I'm still on talking terms with everyone but Ron, who took away my daily forum digests. (Just kidding Ron, you do good work ) I tried the upgrade from version 2 to version 3, was quite unhappy and asked Adobe for my money back. I have to say that the rep that I talked to was extremely nice and helpful. He made all the arrangements to have my refund processed, and I didn't even have to return the physical package. He just made the product serial number invalid, and asked me to destroy the version 3, which I did. The refund check took a while (I think it was about 6 weeks) but it did arrive no problem.
Be yourself; everyone else is taken.

I wasn't really referring to people that still use Premiere Elements, I was talking about people that return the product and use another tool instead. Those people don't have any reason to talk to use because they don't use Premiere Elements, the rest of you are stuck with us whether you like it or not

I also did a return when I bought PrEl 2 by itself through Amazon and realized I should have bought the bundle.
They actaully refunded the full price that I paid at Amazon which I found amazing since that was more than they got in revenue considering whatever margin Amazon makes. I did buy the bundle direct from Adobe, but had to handle the return separately as two transactions (a return and a purchase) rather than just paying the difference.
Same deal as Dave though, they had me sign a form taht I had removed the software and they invalidated the serial #.
